Inspection and Testing
The purpose of inspection and testing is to provide :
- The safety of persons against the effects of electric shock and burns
- Protection against damage to property by fire and heat arising from an installation defect
- Confirmation that the installation is not damaged or deteriorated so far as to impair safety
- The identification of installation defects and non-compliance with the requirements of the regulations which may give rise to danger.
Inspection and testing is necessary because all installations deteriorate due to a number of factors, such as damage,wear,tear,corrosion,excessive loading,age and enviromental issues.
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION TESTING
All aspects of of the electrical installation are inspected and tested for strength,integrity and compliance with the IEE regulations.
Not only will any faults be recorded, but where possible suggestions for a very cost effective solution will be provided.After fully testing each circuit, results are recorded and printed off onto a certificate and presented to the customer in high quality.

ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE ELECTRICAL TESTING
In areas where public entertainment takes place, in most cases there is a requirement for an annual test and inspection for that area involving the entertainment electricity supply and area emergency lighting.
This is usually a requirement of the licencing department of the local authority, normally they will insist on the contractor being niceic registered and must comply with the IEE regulations.
PERIODIC INSPECTION AND TESTING
A periodic inspection and testing (PIR) is an inspection of an electrical installation's condition and to record any deficiencies against the safety standard.Periodic inspection testing will show up any damage to installations due to wear,tear, or damage.
VISUAL INSPECTION
Carry out a visual inspection of any electrical installation,which includes switching off mains switches,mcb boards,contactors and busbars and inspect for excessive heat damage.
Visual examination off full area checking for any breakages or excessive use of extension leads.
Mechanically test rcd's to check they operate properly.
Ensure property has proper first aid.
